Rest in Peace
"You're much stronger than you think you are. Trust me."
I was a happy and healthy little pup, but I became infected with a weird bacteria that started eating away at my face... literally. It hurt so, so much. My humans were super worried but they didn't know what to do. I was mad all the time because I didn't want them to touch the infection. It was a dark period for me. I couldn't eat so I was weak. I couldn't feel my face. I wanted the pain to stop.
Then, my humans brought me to PACK Taiwan to see if they could help. They took me to see the most experienced vets around Taiwan, hoping to find a solution. By this time, the infection had spread to my bones and the pain was unbearable! The doctors proposed a surgery to remove the infection before it spread any further. It was a complicated procedure that required removing parts of my skull and using skin from other areas of my body to cover my face.
To be honest, I was scared for my life. I thought I was going to die because of how difficult the surgery was. At the same time, I didn't want to live another minute with the pain I had been suffering from the infection. I had no choice.
Thankfully, we had world-class doctors who were determined to help me. The surgery was long but successful, and in the end my life was saved. I was much stronger than I thought.
I know I look a bit different now but I'm healthy and happy. I ended up staying with my friends at PACK Taiwan and I made a lot of new dog pals as well! I'm no longer mad all the time like I was before. In fact, I love to be pet and hugged... especially on my tummy. If see me when you visit PACK HQ, don't be shy, come say "hi" to me!
