Ellena

 the Princess

Mixed Breed

Girl / 7 years / Beige

大頭照 (400 x 400 px) -2.png

Background

Ellena was rescued and brought to PACK in 2015 when she was only 8 months old.

She’s always been so lovely, companionable, and energetic that everyone fell in love

with her right away. Hence our ray of sunshine Ellena has started her journey with us ever since.

Personality

Ellena is very active and affectionate. She could get really excited when she sees someone she’s familiar with. When it comes to meeting strangers, she would first observe you from a distance for some time, but once you’ve earned her trust, she would become really attached to you! She’s also very expressive and always wears her heart on her sleeve. It takes Ellena longer to adapt to a new environment with her high sensitivity to sounds. Especially when she is left alone without her owner, she tends to be uneasy and shows obvious signs of separation anxiety. Ellena is also possessive of her owner.

With high sensitivity to sounds and the environment, Ellena gets nervous easily and would bark to react. It takes her some time to get comfortable in a new place with a variety of sounds.

Behavioral Observations

When you see our ray of sunshine, Ellena, happily spinning in circles or looking at you with her signature bright smile, that’s her unique way to invite you to play with her, pet her, or give her a proper massage that she enjoys the most! Ellena tends to be a bit nervous and vigilant when facing other dogs, and she would also respond to fierce dogs that turn down her invitation to play together. As for cats, Ellena tends to keep her distance out of unfamiliarity. Being possessive of her owner, Ellena also gets jealous when the owner is petting other dogs at the same time and might wrinkle her nose to warn other dogs. And if the owner has been away for too long, she would show obvious signs of separation anxiety. Ellena might get overexcited and a bit out of control when she sees people she likes or before eating. Sometimes you may have to ignore her for a bit and wait for her to calm down patiently before moving on.

Medical History

All of PACK's dogs are vaccinated annually, dewormed monthly and receive flea and tick medication quarterly. Every dog is spayed/neutered upon arrival at PACK HQ.

Tolerance Levels

At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These observations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.
