Background
Once a stray dog, Coco suffered from skin problems due to malnutrition. Fortunately, she was rescued by a kind-hearted citizen and sent to an animal hospital. Her skin problem cured, Coco remained for a time in the hospital, waiting for a warm home to welcome her. Still waiting, Coco was eventually brought to PACK Taiwan.
Personality
Coco is a quiet and calm girl. She enjoys being alone and most of the time, might show just a fixed expression on her face. But don’t think Coco’s just a homebody— she enjoys being outside! When you put her on the leash and take her out for a walk, she will instantly be full of energy. In fact, she won’t be able to stop smiling when on a walk with you. Not only is she a good partner at home, but also for outdoor activities!

Behavioral Observations
Coco is easily startled, and her reaction will show only through her facial expression; there is no excessive physical reaction. If you don’t have time to pay much attention to her, she won’t make a fuss and will simply go to sleep obediently and enjoy time by herself. When you bring her out for a walk, Coco will remain quiet and simply follow you around at your own pace. Because she tends to match your walking speed, walking is quite a pleasure – you won’t have to worry about it becoming a tug of war or a chase!
Medical History
All of PACK's dogs are vaccinated annually, dewormed monthly and receive flea and tick medication quarterly. Every dog is spayed/neutered upon arrival at PACK HQ.

Tolerance Levels
At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These observations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.

She’ll be a bit nervous at first, but adapts over time.

Can generally get along with other dogs though she doesn’t initiate.

Have not yet observed Coco with cats.
Kids
She’s not crazy about kids, but doesn’t mind them either.

Will get startled, but won’t display an extreme reaction.

She can be petted all over, but generally won’t ask to be petted.
Behavior Observations
There are some common behavior issues that we see in dogs who have spent a significant amount of time in a shelter. We assess our dogs for these behaviors and provide training plans for adopters to help manage them.

Extremely quiet. No barking was observed in a variety of circumstances.

Obedience Training
Obedience training is critical for nurturing healthy dog-human relationships and having a well-behaving dog. Our dogs receive basic training at PACK Academy, which provides a foundation for communication between dog and human.
